Suspect arrested after child enticement investigation

On Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021 around 3:00 pm Boise Police received a report of a child enticement on W. Salt Creek Dr.  The victim stated that the man had asked her to get into his car.  The suspect was no longer in the area when police arrived but officers were able to identify a suspect and conduct an investigation based on evidence gathered at the scene.  School Resource Officers following up on the report were able to locate the suspect Wednesday and conduct further investigation. The report was sent to the prosecutor’s office for review and a warrant for misdemeanor child enticement was issued on Thursday,  Oct. 14, 2021.  The suspect, Raul Padilla, was taken into custody this morning without incident and booked into the Ada County Jail.

Parents, please remind students of the following safety tips:

  • If possible, students should walk to and from school in groups of students and not walk alone.
  • Tell a responsible adult if a student is approached by a stranger.
