Boise Police, Ada County Sheriff's Office investigate single vehicle crash

August 7, 2022

On Saturday shortly after 9:30 pm Boise Police responded to a single vehicle collision into a tree near the intersection of N. Curtis Rd. and I-184. The 18-year-old male driver was extricated from the vehicle by emergency responders, transported to the hospital, and is now in stable condition. The juvenile male passenger was able to exit the vehicle without assistance. He was treated by paramedics and transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Just prior to the collision, an officer observed the involved vehicle traveling eastbound on I-184 at speeds of 100 MPH. The officer initiated emergency lights, observed the vehicle exit at Curtis, but lost sight of the vehicle until locating it at the crash site. Due to emergency lights being initiated by Boise Police prior to the crash, the crash reconstruction investigation is being handled by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office. Charges are pending for the driver. The investigation is ongoing.
