BPD arrests suspect after Monday night shooting

Arrested: Jacob Robert Mosman, 22, Boise

Charges: Assault- Aggravated (F), Enhancement-Use of a Deadly Weapon in Commission of a Felony (F), Evidence-Destruction, Alteration or Concealment (F)

Last night shortly before midnight, Boise Police responded to a report of a shooting on the 11000 block of W. Edna St. As they were responding to the scene, officers learned that an adult male victim with a gunshot wound was at the intersection of Tylerson and Ustick. Officers located the victim and began performing lifesaving care before paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Officers secured both scenes, collected evidence, and spoke to several witnesses. Evidence indicates there was a verbal altercation between the suspect, Jacob Mosman, and the victim, shortly before shots were fired. The suspect and victim are known to each other. Mosman has been taken into custody and booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charges.
