UPDATE: Suspect Identified and Arrested

Arrested: Bryson Grove, 21, Boise

Charge: Aggravated Battery (F)

Thank you to everyone who contacted Boise Police with tips and information. The suspect, Bryson Grove, was identified and taken into custody without incident tonight. After further investigation, Grove was arrested and is being booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charge.

Just after 3 am on July 11th, 2022, Boise Police responded to a report of a shooting in a parking lot near Broadway and Linden. Officers arrived to find an injured adult male. He was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries. Officers secured the scene and BPD’s Violent Crime Unit was called out to investigate. During the investigation, officers identified a possible suspect and are asking the public for help identifying the person.

Suspect description: The suspect is described as being approximately 5'10, 150lbs, brown hair, brown eyes, and wearing a gray T-shirt and black pants (Photos below).

   

Vehicle description: Maroon sedan with a different right front wheel (photos below).

 

What happened:

A preliminary investigation showed the victim and the unidentified suspect were involved in a verbal altercation earlier in the night at a business on the 1700 block of Broadway Ave. A short time later, the suspect and the victim got into another confrontation in a parking lot near Broadway and Linden before the victim was shot.  At this time it doesn’t appear the suspect and the victim previously knew each other. The investigation is ongoing.
