At 1:53 pm today Boise Police performed a traffic stop on a driver for inattentive driving near W. Boise Ave and S. High Street.  The driver of the vehicle ran from the traffic stop into a nearby neighborhood where he was seen jumping fences and running through backyards. Officers set up a perimeter around the area and alerted a nearby elementary school. During the investigation, officers learned the vehicle the suspect was driving had been reported stolen.  As part of the search for the suspect, officers went door to door checking on residents in the area. Around 2:50 p.m. officers located the suspect in a home on Leadville and took him into custody.  Evidence showed the suspect had unlawfully entered the home through an unlocked door and threw a male resident inside the home on the floor.   When officers arrived, the victim was able to answer the door and let officers inside.  Officers secured the safety of a female inside the home and took the suspect into custody.  The victims inside the home were not hurt.  The suspect was arrested on the listed charges and booked into the Ada County Jail.
