On May 10, 2024, shortly after 7 pm, Boise Police officers responded to a single motorcycle injury crash at the intersection of W. Beacon St. and W. Boise Ave. When officers arrived on scene, life-saving care was provided to the injured adult male rider before he was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Evidence indicates the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed on Beacon St. towards Boise Ave. when he lost control of the motorcycle, drove onto the sidewalk, and crashed into a large tree. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and into the roadway. Boise Police officers blocked roads on Beacon St. and Boise Ave. as they worked to investigate the crash and clear the scene. The investigation is ongoing and the identity of the victim will be released by the Ada County Coroner’s Office pending notification of next of kin.
