Boise Police looking for suspects involved in damage to Parkcenter Bridge

August 8, 2025

On August 7, 2025, shortly after 11:30 pm, Boise Police officers responded to the Parkcenter Bridge for a report of Malicious Injury to Property. Evidence indicates that unknown suspects forced two large external metal fence panels off their mounts, causing damage to both fence panels and the concrete bridge structure. There were no reported injuries. Officers remained on scene while Ada County Highway District repair crews put up a temporary barrier on the bridge. The estimated cost to repair this damage is approximately $15,000 to $20,000.

Upon further investigation, officers learned that multiple suspects were seen damaging one of these same fence panels on August 6, 2025. That fence panel was repaired by ACHD crews on August 7, around 10 am.  Officers are currently working to identify the suspects involved in both incidents. Anyone with information is asked to contact Ada County Non-Emergency Dispatch at (208)377-6790.

On August 8, the Boise Fire Dive Team and ACHD responded to the Parkcenter Bridge to address some railing that fell into the river as a result of this property damage. After an evaluation, crews determined that they are unable to remove the railing from the river at this time. Fire crews conducted upstream and downstream safety checks, and at the current water level, the railing is not impacting floaters. Crews will continue to evaluate this area for concerns as the season continues.
