Arrested: Cody Harrigan, 41, Boise

On January 3, 2025, around 8 pm, Boise Police officers responded to a reported strangulation in the area of S. Leadville Ave and W. Highland St. Evidence indicates the suspect, Cody Harrigan, was attempting to strangle a female victim inside the home. Officers arrived and safely rescued the victim and 3 children from the home, while working to secure the scene and take the suspect into custody. The Boise Police Special Operations Unit responded to provide additional resources and crisis negotiators worked to make contact with Cody, who was still inside the home. After hours of negotiating, the suspect exited the residence and was taken into custody. Following an investigation Cody was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charges.
