Join us on August 4, 2026 for National Night Out in Boise

August 3, 2026

Tomorrow evening, neighborhoods across the country, and here in Boise, will celebrate National Night Out. This year, there are around 35 registered parties scheduled across the city.

National Night Out is celebrated every year on the first Tuesday in August and is designed to help build safer and more caring communities. This annual event gives you the opportunity to build stronger community partnerships by getting to know your neighbors, local business owners, city leaders, and first responders. Organizers who registered their parties with the Boise Police Department were able to request visits from police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and city council members.

Check out the interactive map of registered party locations and learn more about National Night Out on our website. There may also be additional parties in your area that are not registered with the Boise Police Department. We encourage you to reach out to your neighbors or Homeowners Associations to see if anything is being planned where you live. Please note that parties registered with Boise Police are subject to change by the organizers.

We appreciate everyone who has reached out with concerns about the current air quality. The decision to hold, cancel, shorten, or move a National Night Out event indoors is up to each individual neighborhood organizer. Organizers and attendees should consider current conditions, especially if children, older adults, or individuals with respiratory conditions will be participating. Air quality can change throughout the day, so we encourage everyone to monitor conditions before and during their event. Residents can check the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality's Real-Time Air Quality Map for the latest conditions before heading out the door.

National Night Out is about bringing neighbors together and strengthening our community. We appreciate everyone's flexibility and commitment to keeping their families and neighbors safe while continuing to build the partnerships that make Boise a great place to live. Whether your neighborhood gathers outdoors, indoors, or chooses to reschedule, we thank you for participating in this fun, family-friendly event.
