Around 7:25 a.m. today, Boise Police officers responded to a report of vandalism at a building on the 1100 block of South Vinnell Way. The vandalism included spray paint and broken windows.
The building where the vandalism occurred is being rented by the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. It was not occupied at the time of the vandalism.
Detectives are actively investigating and are coordinating with partner agencies. At this time, it is unknown whether this vandalism is related to Thursday’s incident at a DHS office in Meridian.
Boise Police are asking businesses and residents in the area with surveillance footage, or anyone with information related to this incident, to contact Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790.
This remains an active investigation and Boise Police will be providing extra patrols in the area. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
