Charges: 2 counts - Theft-Grand (F), 2 counts – Burglary (F), Theft-Grand (Felony Warrant, Ada County Sheriff’s Office), 3 counts – Burglary (Felony Warrant, Ada County Sheriff’s Office)
On Thursday, March 19, 2026, the Boise Police Organized Retail Crime (ORC) Unit arrested suspect Jiaxing Guan on multiple charges related to financial crime investigations. Guan was previously arrested by the Nampa Police Department on charges of burglary, forgery, and criminal possession of a bank card. After his arrest, the Boise Police Department received information from multiple victims who recently had their credit cards stolen and used fraudulently.
Evidence indicates Guan stole credit cards from the victims and used them to make purchases in stores across the Treasure Valley. Following an investigation, BPD’s ORC Unit established probable cause to arrest Guan. The Ada County Sheriff’s Office was also investigating Guan for similar crimes throughout the county and secured a warrant for his arrest. BPD ORC officers worked with the Nampa Police Department to locate and arrest Guan. He was booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charges.
“The Boise Police Department and local law enforcement officers across our area would like to thank the victims in these cases for paying attention to their bank statements, reaching out to local retailers where these fraudulent charges were made, and contacting law enforcement to investigate,” said BPD ORC Detective Marshall Plaisted. “It’s partnerships like these that help us make arrests and deter traveling organized theft and fraud organizations from coming to Idaho.”
Detectives from across the Treasure Valley are still trying to locate all potential victims in this investigation, so please continue to check your bank statements. If you notice a problem, contact Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790.
