Arrested: Devin Watton, 32, Boise
Charges: Rape (F), Kidnapping (F)
On April 10, 2026, Boise Police arrested Devin Watton following an investigation into allegations of rape and kidnapping involving an adult victim. Watton was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Ada County Jail.
During the course of the investigation, detectives with the Boise Police Special Victims Unit became aware of additional information suggesting there may be other victims. Investigators learned of social media discussions, including posts within a Facebook group, where several women indicated they may have knowledge of other incidents involving Watton or identified themselves as possible victims.
Detectives are actively investigating this information and are asking anyone who may have had contact with Watton, witnessed concerning behavior, or believe they may be a victim to contact Boise Police. Investigators understand the difficulty involved in reporting crimes of this nature and want victims to know they will be treated with dignity, compassion, and respect throughout the process.
“Sexual violence thrives in secrecy, and offenders often rely on victims staying silent,” said Lieutenant Brady of the Boise Police Department. “We recognize that coming forward can be extremely difficult, especially when victims fear they may not be believed. We encourage anyone with information or anyone who may have experienced similar behavior to contact investigators so we can thoroughly investigate these reports and help ensure community safety.”
Boise Police work closely with the Ada County Victim Services Center which provides advocacy, support, and resources to victims throughout investigations and the criminal justice process. Victim advocates are available to help connect survivors with counseling, safety planning, and other supportive services regardless of whether criminal charges are pursued.
Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790 and ask to speak with Boise Police detectives. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
