Registration Opens for National Night Out 2026

May 1, 2026

Registration is now open for Boise neighborhoods to take part in National Night Out (NNO) 2026.  National Night Out is an annual event that brings communities together to strengthen neighborhood connections, build relationships with local law enforcement, and promote public safety.

Scheduled for Tuesday, August 4, 2026, National Night Out is celebrated each year on the first Tuesday in August.  Neighbors celebrate by hosting community gatherings, block parties, cookouts, and other family-friendly events. Boise police officers, firefighters, city officials, and other community leaders also join these parties to help celebrate the importance of crime prevention and community partnerships.

“National Night Out is one of the best ways neighbors can come together to create safer, more connected communities,” said Boise Police Chief Chris Dennison. “Strong neighborhoods are built through relationships, and this event helps foster the trust, communication, and partnerships that make Boise a safer place for everyone.”

Registration for National Night Out 2026 opened May 1, 2026, and will remain open through Friday, July 10, 2026. Community members are encouraged to register early to ensure their event is included and receives available support resources.
