City of Boise Leaf Collection Sites Close December 11

December 7, 2023

Leaf collection sites in the City of Trees are closing soon. Boise residents still raking up can drop off leaves and leaf bags at seven collection sites around the city through Monday, December 11 at sunset. After the sites close, yard waste can still be set out weekly at the curb or alley in compost bins and in as many as 10 leaf bags per week. Leaves can also be taken to the Ada County Landfill until December 16.

Republic Services says nearly 90 tons of leaves were collected at Boise’s leaf collection sites in November. Leaves are taken to the City of Boise’s compost facility, then returned as free compost at two give back sites so Boise residents can use compost to improve local soil health.
