In 2019, the City of Boise introduced Boise Climate Now, a platform for addressing climate change. While the city has been hard at work mitigating climate change for many years, there was not a platform from which to talk about the real impacts facing our city. Boise Climate Now provides that platform.
In the coming months, you will be seeing and hearing a lot more of Boise Climate Now as the city develops and shares its technical climate action plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and brings this critical conversation to the forefront.
As signatories of the 2006 and 2014 Mayors Climate Protection Agreements, the city has been busy following through on our promises. Below you can read more about Boise’s current work and steadfast commitment to tackling climate change and integrating sustainability to help make us the most livable city in the country.
