How We'll Get There

Together for Tomorrow: Boise's Community Climate Action Guide

Boise’s Community Climate Action Guide - a resource created for us, by us, the residents of Boise, to help build a greener, cleaner more resilient city. The City of Boise is excited to work with our residents, hand in hand, to create a guide that encourages every Boisean to make small changes that add up to big impact, preserving the Boise we know and love for generations to come.

This is a community-driven effort to tackle the impacts of climate change. Created to empower residents with information, resources, and ways to get involved, this guide is part of Boise's larger commitment to reduce emissions, practice sustainability and preserve our shared environment. We aim to create clear steps and easy tips to adopt sustainable habits in your everyday life and connect with others across Boise who share your commitment to a cleaner, healthier city.

Community Engagement

Community engagement is a key part of Boise’s climate action planning process. During the Spring of 2025, residents were invited to share their ideas, interests, and barriers to the city's climate action priority areas during the first public engagement period, helping to shape the direction of the Climate Action Guide. While this initial phase has now closed, there will be more opportunities for community input this summer. Residents are encouraged to follow this page to stay informed about upcoming ways to get involved and ensure their voices continue to guide Boise’s climate future.

Boise Community Climate Action Committee

The Boise Community Climate Action Committee is dedicated to supporting Boise's commitment to sustainability and climate resilience. Through a series of collaborative meetings, workshops, and discussions, committee members will

  • Explore Boise's climate goals
  • Understand community resources
  • Share innovative ideas
  • Provide insights on community-driven climate action

The committee will help shape the city's climate action guide and programs to reflect what matters most to Boise residents. Committee members will share their insights and experiences from their personal lives to foster meaningful dialogue about Boise's climate efforts within their communities.
