First Responders, Motivepower Employees to Receive Awards

August 26, 2019

Members of Boise Fire, Ada County Paramedics, Ada County Dispatch and employees of MotivePower will all be receiving life-saving awards for their efforts on July 11. First responders were called to MotivePower that day, upon arrival they found a man in cardiac arrest. His co-workers were performing CPR with an AED placed on him. Co-workers delivered one shock from their AED prior to the engine’s arrival. The crew took over CPR and administered a second shock and then a short time later administered a third shock, this resulted in a return of pulses and respirations. Mark made a full recovery and was able to walk out of the hospital. Teamwork and CPR training made this outcome possible. Tomorrow at Station 12 (3240 State Highway 21, Boise, ID 83716) at 3:30 p.m., first responders and MotivePower employees will be on hand to accept their awards.
