The City of Boise and the Boise Fire Department will hold a grand opening ceremony for Fire Station #9, on October 24 at noon. This new station replaces the building that was originally erected in 1975. Construction of this station began in October of 2018. This is one of four fire station projects made possible by citizen support of the public safety no-tax bond which had a 76% approval in November, 2014. Interview opportunities available immediately following the ceremony. An open house for the public will held from 2-4 p.m.
