This May, Mayor McLean and Boise City Council approved more than $34 million in American Rescue Plan funding for Boiseans hardest hit by the pandemic. Today, grant applications for organizations to provide expanded mental health services are open. Local nonprofits and service providers are invited to apply.
“The pandemic has further exposed the inequities in access to resources across communities, including access to comprehensive mental health care,” said Mayor McLean. “These dedicated funds will support our nonprofits and service providers, who have been working tirelessly to serve our residents, in enhancing and expanding mental health care to Boiseans most impacted by the pandemic.”
The $2 million American Rescue Plan funding for mental health will directly support organizations providing mental health services to low-income, underserved, uninsured, and/or underinsured individuals and families.
