You can serve the Boise community and help create a city for everyone by working to redraw the district map for city council elections. The City of Boise is looking for applicants to serve on its new Districting Commission.
The citizen commission will lead a transparent process to draw the map for city council elections, which will stand for as long as a decade. The panel will have five commissioners appointed by the mayor from across the city.
Interested residents must be eligible to vote in Boise and must not have run for city council in the last 5 years nor plan to for 5 years after serving. They must be available to meet starting in July and would finish up their work in November.
Residents can apply now by sending a cover letter and resume to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please put “Boise Districting Commission” in the subject line of your email. The deadline to apply is June 3, 2022 at 5 p.m.
