Boise Continues Property Tax Rebate Program

November 15, 2023

To continue providing meaningful support for our residents, Mayor McLean and Boise City Council again approved $1.2 million to fund the Property Tax Rebate Program. This means homeowners who qualified for the state’s Property Tax Reduction Program in April 2023 will also be eligible for the City of Boise Property Tax Rebate program this year.

Last year, the City of Boise launched the Property Tax Rebate Program to provide financial relief to our residents. In its inaugural year, more than more than 1,500 Boiseans who applied to and were approved for the program received a rebate for their remaining City of Boise property tax bill.

“I am proud that we continue to take every opportunity to get money back into the hands of Boiseans,” said Mayor McLean. “On the heels of such a successful program last year, where qualified residents received an average rebate check of $655, I am confident we will reach even more residents who need our support.”

Applications for the City of Boise Property Tax Rebate Program will be open December 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024. Eligible homeowners will have several ways to access the program, including a letter with an application that will be in mailboxes in early December and through the Dick Eardley Senior Center.
