BPD investigating early morning homicide

Boise Police Violent Crimes Unit detectives identified and arrested a suspect following a suspicious death Thursday morning.

Arrested: Josina Regan, 45, Boise

Charge: 2nd degree Murder (F)

Around 4 a.m. officers responded to a call involving a medical emergency on the 1900 block of N. Ancestor Ave. When officers arrived at the residence they located an adult male victim with gunshot wounds. First responders attempted to provide lifesaving aid but the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. During the course of the investigation, the death was determined to be a homicide. After speaking with multiple subjects and gathering evidence, detectives arrested the suspect, Josina Regan, and she was booked into the Ada County Jail on a felony charge of 2nd Degree Murder. The investigation is ongoing. The victim’s name will be released by the Ada County Coroner pending notification of next of kin.
