BPD Investigating overnight homicide

October 30, 2020

At 12:41 a.m. on 10/30/2020 Boise Police responded to the 7000 block of W. Emerald for a welfare check regarding a male adult in a hallway.  When officers arrived they located a victim who had been shot.  Officers and Ada County Paramedics attempted life saving measures and the victim was rushed the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Upon arriving on scene, officers also began to search the area for additional victims as well as a suspect.  No one else was found to be injured and evidence at the scene led officers to investigate the death as a homicide. The victim’s name will be released by the Ada County Coroner pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives ask that anyone who heard or saw anything suspicious around 11:00 last night to about 12:30 a.m., including gunfire or another disturbance, in the area of Emerald and Milwaukee to please call Ada County dispatch at 208-377-6790 or contact Crime Stoppers: at 208-343-COPS (2677), www.343COPS.com, or leave a tip using the “P3 Tips” app for your mobile device.
