November 30, 2021

Arrested: Jason Cooley, 20, Nampa

Charges: Aggravated assault (F)

Just after 9 a.m. Boise Police responded to a call for service at a business on the 4000 block of E Warm Springs. Evidence indicates a suspect entered the business and took items before walking out of the store without paying. An employee noticed and followed the suspect outside. The suspect was in a vehicle and reportedly pointed a firearm at the employee before driving away.  Following a preliminary investigation, officers were able to identify a possible suspect and suspect vehicle. As a precaution, a nearby junior high school and private school were put on a temporary shelter in place twice while officers searched the area and possible known locations.  Around 10:30 a.m. officers located the suspect and his vehicle on S. Council Springs Road. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Upon further investigation, the suspect, Jason Cooley, was booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charge. Additional charges are possible.
