This year in the City of Boise there are about 46 parties registered for National Night Out on August 2, 2022. This annual event is about getting to know your neighbors and developing stronger community-police partnerships. National Night Out is celebrated across the country on the first Tuesday in August and is designed to help build safer and more caring communities. Organizers who registered their parties with the Boise Police Department were able to request visits from police officers, firefighters, paramedics, the Mayor, City Council members, and other city departments.
“We look forward to having some fun and talking with people about what is going on in their neighborhoods,” said Boise Police Chief Ryan Lee. “The partnerships we have with our community help keep Boise the safe community it is today.”

There may also be additional parties in your area that are not registered with the Boise Police Department. We encourage you to reach out to your neighbors or Homeowners Associations to see if anything is being planned where you live.
