BPD investigates fatal vehicle vs pedestrian crash

On July 31, 2023, around 1:30 am Boise Police responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash near N. Cloverdale Rd and W. Briarwood Dr.  Ada County Paramedics also responded, and sadly, the adult male pedestrian passed away from his injuries. A preliminary investigation shows the driver was headed southbound on Cloverdale Rd when her vehicle struck the pedestrian who was walking in the southbound lanes of traffic. The collision occurred south of the intersection with Briarwood.  Boise Police Department Violent Crimes Detectives and Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene.  The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been filed at this time.  The Ada County Coroner will identify the victim pending notification of next of kin.
