Charges: Flee or attempting to elude a police officer (F), Aiding and abetting (F), Driving under the influence (m)
On February 1, 2026, around 4:15 a.m. Boise Police officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 4300 block of West State Street. Upon arrival, officers found evidence that a business in the area had been struck by gunfire. Officers secured the scene and confirmed that there were no injuries to anyone inside or outside the building. Shortly after the initial response, officers located a vehicle matching a description of the suspect’s vehicle traveling on State Street. When officers attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. A short time later, officers located the vehicle after it crashed near North Lander Street and West Glendale Street. Believing the occupants to likely be armed, officers carefully approached the vehicle and safely took three occupants into custody. Officers were prepared with less lethal tools, and a police K9, and a drone in coordination with the Meridian Police Department.
“This was a team effort to quickly locate the suspect vehicle and coordinate resources,” said Boise Police Lieutenant Dave Hunsaker. “Clear communication and preparation allowed officers to take control of the main scene, share critical information quickly, and locate the suspects while ensuring containment and safety for everyone involved.”
Boise Police detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit responded and continued the investigation. The driver of the vehicle, Alexandra Lopez, was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail on the listed charges. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
