Station History

1950 - Firehouse#4 was originally located at Kootenai Avenue and Federal Way. It is a one-story, two-bay station of stucco design with one pumper and four personnel. This building was torn down in 1998.

December 1972 - A new firehouse is built at 8485 W. Ustick Road and the engine company is re-organized.  The building is a one story, two-bay cinder block structure and houses a pumper and four personnel.

September 1979 - Due to budget cuts the Tanker driver position is eliminated, staffing is reduced to three personnel.

1990 - Engine 4 takes delivery of a new Seagraves 1500gpm pumper.

2004 - Engine 4 receives a new BME/Spartan 1500gpm pumper.

2006 - Firehouse #4 receives a major interior remodel.

June 2017 - Firehouse #4 new build grand opening.
