The City of Boise set a goal to ensure every family has access to a park or open space reserve within a 10-minute walk from their home. The 10-Minute Walk Program is a national initiative, led by the Trust for Public Land, to expand equitable access and green spaces for everyone.
Today, 73% of Boiseans have access to park space within 10 minutes.
Doug Holloway, Boise Parks and Recreation Director
Boise Parks and Recreation is committed to providing safe, easy access to parks and open spaces for everyone. Our team is working to identify areas in Boise that would benefit from improved access, and opportunities to expand our park, open space and pathway system.
