Projects Impacting the Boise River Greenbelt

Due to a structural issue identified during an engineering inspection in May, the Loggers Creek Bridge is closed as it is not safe for public use. This closure will remain in place and is expected to continue until Fall 2024 (although an estimated reopening date is unknown at this time). A key structural support beam will need to be replaced – and it will not be an easy fix. A new, custom fabricated steel beam will be installed on the bridge as soon as possible.

The bridge is located on the south side of the Boise River in between the Parkcenter Bridge and the Broadway Bridge. A detour has been signed around the bridge closure. It routes pedestrians and cyclists via Leadville Avenue and Beacon Street. Thank you for your patience as crews continue to determine next steps and develop a timeline for the needed repairs.
