Projects Impacting the Boise River Greenbelt

Greenbelt Lighting Project

Work will begin on Monday, January 23 along the south side of the Greenbelt between Old Timer's Shelter in Ann Morrison Park and 9th Street.

The project includes the installation of lighting along the path.

There will be a signed detour over Pioneer bridge (located in Ann Morrison Park) and South 8th Street bridge (pedestrian/bicycle only).

Work is estimated to be completed in March.

Esther Simplot Overflow Pipe Project

Starting on Monday, November 28, the Greenbelt between Veterans Park and Esther Simplot Park will be closed for work on the installation of an overflow pipe between ponds.

The project will hydraulically connect the city park ponds. The improvements will increase pond water movement and water quality.

The detour will route users over onto the Garden City side of the Greenbelt. This project is estimated to be completed by early March.
