Julia Davis Park Roadway/Greenbelt/Lighting Project
Staging and fencing has been installed in preparation for the demolition of the road and greenbelt.
A 0.5 mile section of the Greenbelt will be closed for pathway and lighting replacement.
The asphalt greenbelt will be removed and replaced with concrete that is two feet wider than the existing surface. The lighting along the greenbelt will also be replaced to increase safety along the greenbelt.
During this project, the roadway in the same area will be closed as well. This project will replace the asphalt road, curb and gutter from the tennis courts east towards Myrtle Street and includes the removal of the cul-de-sac and returning that area back to open green space.
There will be a signed detour around the project.
The closure is expected to be in place until August.
Julia Davis Park East End Restroom Project
A new restroom will be installed in the east end of Julia Davis Park.
The restroom project will also include lighting for the Cancer Survivor Plaza.
The kites are being redone through Boise City Department of Arts & History and will be installed in April.
