Hewett Park

11211 W. McMillan Rd., Boise

Hewett Park is a unique neighborhood park located in West Boise. The park is approximately six acres in size and features turf and paved pathways that connect to a playground.

Please note, there is no parking lot at Hewett Park. Access is available via paved pathways extending to N. Oxbow Place and West McMillan Road.

Parking

Please note, there is no parking lot at Hewett Park. Park access is available via paved pathways extending to N. Oxbow Place and West McMillan Road.

Wheelchair users may park in the Pennfield Place cul-de-sac to the northwest of the park and utilize the sidewalk along McMillan Road to enter the park via the paved pathway.

Open Play Areas

Open play areas are cut grass spaces that provide opportunities for healthy recreational activities for people of all ages.

Playground

The updated playground design features inclusive and accessible play equipment including a bird nest swing, play house, various climbing structures, a sensory garden wall, and equipment for kids of a variety of ages and abilities.

The new play area features fully accessible bonded rubber surfacing.

Smoking Prohibition

Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all City of Boise parks, including within 20 feet of the Boise River Greenbelt, except in designated areas within Ann Morrison and Julia Davis Parks and at city-owned golf courses.

Unauthorized vehicles will be towed at owner's risk and expense. You can contact Boise Valley Towing by calling (208) 389-9707.

Hewett Park History

The park property was acquired in August of 1980.
