In small quantities, sod can be placed in your compost cart after shaking loose soil away from grass roots. Due to weight restrictions, no more than 25% of your compost cart should contain sod in a given week. If you need to dispose of a larger amount of sod, it can be self-hauled to a local organics recycler.
