This goes in your recycle cart.
Flatten clean, dry cardboard boxes and fold or cut to fit in your blue recycling bin. Cardboard that is wet, oily, greasy, moldy or coated with wax or plastic cannot be recycled and should go in the trash bin.
You can also take cardboard to Western Recycling at 1990 S. Cole Road for free.
Reduce and Reuse
Email customer service for your favorite online retailers to request they use as few boxes as possible when shipping your purchases.
If you have several cardboard boxes that are in usable condition, consider gifting them to someone who might want them for moving through your local Buy Nothing group.
Consider using cardboard in place of a synthetic fabric weed barrier in your home landscaping.
