City Clerk

Due to a staff shortage, the City Clerk’s Office will close temporarily for walk-in services Wednesday 1/19 to Friday 1/21.

Some time-sensitive services such as finger printing and background checks will be available by appointment. To make an appointment email or call 208-972-8150.

All other services can be completed online by visiting or calling 208-972-8150. The City Clerk’s team will continue to process applications and licenses during the temporary closure.

Walk in services will resume Monday, January 24.

The Office of the City Clerk is an administrative public service division. This office maintains city records, regulates licensing, manages city-wide elections, presents the City Code and supports the legislative work of the Mayor and City Council.

City Code

Boise City Code is published for reference purposes and represent formal legislative acts of the Council and should be used whenever the Council intends to pass regulatory measures.

City Council Meetings

The City Council meets every Tuesday at 6 p.m., except for the fourth Tuesday of each month, when the meetings begin at noon. Council meetings are held on the third floor of City Hall.
