Annexation

Annexation applications allow for the expansion of the City's boundaries to include previously unincorporated property when the City Council deems it to be for the public convenience, necessity, or for general welfare. To be eligible for annexation, property must be located within the City's Area of Impact, incorporate the Boise sewer planning area, allow for the efficient and economically viable provision of municipal services, and be contiguous to the existing city limits. Annexations may be initiated by property owners or by the City.
