There are several points throughout the planning process that the community is invited to provide feedback about planning projects that have been submitted to the city.
Feedback to the Applicant
Projects that are posted on the Development Tracker also include the contact information for the project representative, and feedback can be submitted directly to them at any point. This information may or may not be included as part of the public record depending on the timing of the submission. Providing feedback to applicants early in the process allows for the most opportunity for collaboration and change.
Feedback to the City
Comments on proposed development projects can be submitted using the form below. Comments are routed to the planning division. If the feedback is regarding a development request scheduled at a public hearing, written comments must be received by 5 p.m. on the Thursday before the hearing to be included in the public record.
Neighborhood Meetings
For projects meeting specific criteria, the applicant will be required to host a neighborhood meeting to review the project, answer questions, and collect feedback from affected residents, property owners, and neighborhood associations. This meeting will take place prior to application submittal and can be a good time to collaborate with the applicant and/or their representatives prior to plans being submitted.
Providing Testimony for Hearing-Level Projects
Testimony for projects that undergo hearing-level review can be provided in person or remotely at the public hearing, or by submitting written comments. Any written comments must be received by 5 p.m. on the Thursday prior to the hearing. Provided testimony, written or oral, is included in the public record and is considered as part of the review process. To provide testimony at an appeal, you must have participated at the hearing and be a party of record.
