Alternative Sign Programs, also called a Master Sign Plan are required for multi-tenant developments that are planned, designed, and build as an integrated and cohesive unit. This can include hospital complexes on sites of two acres or larger, office centers with multiple buildings on sites of two acres, industrial parks with multiple buildings on sites of five acres or larger, single, multi-tenant buildings on sites of two acres or larger, such as a shopping center. The Alternative Sign Program is created to establish criteria for all signs as it pertains to the design, materials, location and quantity of signs in the development. These applications are typically reviewed administratively by the Planning Team but may require Design Review Commission approval.
