Paints and Stains

This is Household Hazardous Waste.
Paints and stains are accepted at any household hazardous waste collection site or facility at a max of 25 gallons, and include:

  • Latex paint and oil-based paints and stains
  • Solvents
  • Paint thinners
  • Wood stains

Reduce and Reuse

Buy only what you need to limit excess that will become waste.

Visit the Material Reuse Program at the Ada County Landfill to find free paints/solvents/stains that are in usable condition donated by someone else in the community.
