EXPLANATION OF TERMS
- USAGE
- Service charges are based on usage, which is determined by winter water use. Winter water use is calculated from October 15-April 15 and most accurately reflects indoor water use only. If a residential user receives water service from a private well, water consumption is based on the number of residents in the home. The default occupancy is four persons.
- BASE FEE
- Amount charged each month regardless of use. The Base Fee recovers a portion of the fixed costs of operating the system.
- CCF
- Hundreds of cubic feet. (1 ccf = 748 gallons)
- DUE DATE
- The payment due date is for current charges only. Overdue amounts, including interest, are payable immediately.
- FRANCHISE FEE
- 5% of trash, recycling and compost revenue is collected and paid to the City of Boise General Fund.
- ROUND UP
- A voluntary program to contribute equally toward improvements in Boise parks and on the Boise River Greenbelt and assisting customers who have difficulty paying their utility bill.
- SALES TAX
- Idaho Code Section 63-3619 requires the City of Boise to charge sales tax on cart or container rental fee.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
- BILLING DISPUTES
- Disputes regarding high water use resulting from water leaks will be adjusted upon receipt of appropriate documentation verifying that the leak has been repaired. To dispute bill charges, call, email or write Boise City Utility Billing Services within 10 days of the billing date. Contact information is provided on the front of this billing statement. Boise City Utility Billing Services will resolve the dispute within 10 days of receipt. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 10 days, the customer may pursue an appeal as provided by Boise City Code.
- CUSTOMER CONTACT
- By providing your email or phone number, the City of Boise may contact you by email or phone regarding your City of Boise utility services and billing.
- LATE PAYMENT CHARGE
- 1.5% per month will be charged on services provided but not paid for by the due date. A fee will also be assessed on returned payments.
- REFUNDS
- Credit balances less than $5 will be transferred to the Assistance Fund unless the City of Boise is directed otherwise by the customer within 30 days of the statement date.
- SERVICE SUSPENSION
- Service may be suspended for non-payment of amounts due per Boise City Code. If you cannot pay your bill, please contact Utility Billing Services at (208) 608-7460 to make payment arrangements.

- USO
- Las tarifas de servicio se basan en el uso, que viene determinado por el consumo de agua en invierno. El consumo de agua en invierno se calcula del 15 de octubre al 15 de abril y refleja con mayor precisión el consumo de agua en interiores. Si un usuario residencial recibe el servicio de agua de un pozo privado, el consumo de agua se basa en el número de residentes de la vivienda. De manera predeterminada la ocupación es de cuatro personas. CUOTA BASE Importe cobrado cada mes independientemente del uso. La cuota básica recupera una parte de los costes fijos de funcionamiento del sistema.

- FECHA DE VENCIMIENTO
- La fecha de vencimiento del pago se refiere únicamente a los gastos corrientes. Los importes vencidos, incluyendo los intereses, deberán pagarse imediatamente.

- El 5% de los ingresos por basura, reciclaje y compost se recaudan y abonan al Fondo General de la Ciudad de Boise.
- REDONDEAR EL IMPORTE
- Un programa voluntario para contribuir a partes iguales a las mejoras de los parques de Boise y el Green Belt del río Boise y ayudar a los clientes que tienen dificultades para pagar su factura de servicios públicos.
- IMPUESTO SOBRE LAS VENTAS

- CONFLICTOS DE FACTURACIÓN
- Las disputas relativas al elevado consumo de agua derivado de fugas de agua se ajustarán tras la recepción de la documentación adecuada que verifique que la fuga ha sido reparada. Para impugnar los cargos de la factura, llame, envíe un correo electrónico o escriba a Boise City Utility Billing Services en un plazo de 10 días a partir de la fecha de facturación. Los datos de contacto figuran en el anverso de esta factura. Boise City Utility Billing Services resolverá la disputa dentro de 10 días de recibirla. Si la disputa no puede resolverse en el plazo de 10 días, el cliente puede interponer un recurso según lo dispuesto en el Código de la Ciudad de Boise.
- CONTACTO CON EL CLIENTE
- Al proporcionar su correo electrónico o número de teléfono, la Ciudad de Boise puede ponerse en contacto con usted por correo electrónico o por teléfono con respecto a sus servicios públicos de la Ciudad de Boise y la facturación.
- RECARGO POR DEMORA
- Se cobrará un 1.5% mensual por los servicios prestados que no se hayan abonado en la fecha de vencimiento. También se cobrará una tasa por los pagos devueltos.
- REEMBOLSOS
- Los saldos acreedores inferiores a $ 5 se transferirán al Fondo de Asistencia a menos que el cliente indique lo contrario a la Ciudad de Boise en un plazo de 30 días a partir de la fecha del extracto.
- SUSPENSIÓN DEL SERVICIO
- El servicio puede ser suspendido por falta de pago de las cantidades adeudadas por el Código de la Ciudad de Boise. Si no puede pagar su factura, póngase en contacto con los Servicios de Facturación de Servicios Públicos en el (208) 608-7460 para hacer arreglos de pago.
