Note: Vacancy status is limited to six (6) months. The customer must notify the City in advance or within their current billing cycle of the vacancy start date using the Vacancy Request form. Vacancy requests will not be backdated.
If your property is going to be vacant for an extended period of time, or is currently uninhabitable, fill out the form below.
A vacancy is classified as one of the following:
- The property at the referenced service address will be vacant for at least 30 consecutive days.
- No sewer or trash services will be used while the property is in vacancy status.
- Republic Services will not pick up any trash or recycling materials while the property is in vacancy status.
If the City of Boise determines sewer or trash service has been used or trash and/or recycle carts are set out while the property is in vacancy status, you agree to pay occupied rates for the entire vacancy period.
If you request that trash and/or recycling carts be removed from the premises, you will make them available to be picked up and acknowledge there will be a fee to remove the carts.
