Neighborhood planning is a collaboration between the city and neighborhood associations to guide the future of Boise's neighborhoods. Boise uses a Geographic Area Planning (GAP) program that assigns city planners to specific neighborhoods so they are familiar with the unique issues facing each area.

The goal for these associations is to put work into their communities to create vibrant and thriving neighborhoods that increase the livability for their residents.

Boise currently has 34 established neighborhood associations. If you'd like to establish a neighborhood association in your area, be sure to review the Neighborhood Association Toolkit and contact the Energize team to help get you started.
