Energize Our Neighborhoods
Working with residents to energize and enhance the livability of our neighborhoods
Energize Our Neighborhoods is a community collaboration to make all Boise neighborhoods unique and desirable. By aligning resources, we can improve livability and make measurable change.
Energize Our Neighborhoods works with communities to identify opportunities to make neighborhood-level change. Projects, which are prioritized through a neighborhood Visioning process, are implemented by community working groups supported by the Energize team. All of Boise’s neighborhood associations are also eligible to request funding for projects through the Neighborhood Investment Program.Learn More
Energize develops partnerships with businesses, non-profits, public agencies, foundations and institutions to strategically align investments in support of livability projects. Energize also acts as a conduit to connect residents with programs, services and other resources offered by organizations in the community.Learn More
The Energize team serves as a resource to support neighborhood engagement and strives to build community capacity through workshop series, the Boise Neighborhood Interactive community conference, resources developed through the Neighborhood Toolkit and simplified connections to city programs and services.Learn More
The Energize Our Neighborhoods Tool Kit is designed to facilitate community engagement, provide easy access to available resources, and offer opportunities to learn more about workshops, neighborhood events, leadership development, and improving livability in Boise.

Leadership Development Training
EnergizED is Energize Our Neighborhoods’ workshop series that focuses on motivating, engaging and connecting Boise’s residents by giving them the information they need to become champions for change on a neighborhood level.
Neighborhood Associations & Planning
Neighborhood planning is a collaboration between the City and Neighborhood Associations to guide the future of Boise's neighborhoods. Boise uses a Geographic Area Planning (GAP) program that assigns City planners to specific neighborhoods so they are familiar with the unique issues facing each area.
Boise currently has 35 registered Neighborhood Associations working to engage residents.
