The Franklin is a Housing Land Trust development, bringing much needed affordable housing to Boise. The city broke ground on the development in fall 2021, and the apartments are anticipated to be completed in 2024.
Located in the Central Bench neighborhood, The Franklin includes a variety of apartment types for a range of housing incomes, including:
- 66 one-bedroom units
- 118 two-bedroom apartments
- 21 three-bedroom units
The majority of the units are affordable to those earning 60% or below area median income, which translates to an individual earning $31,680 a year or a family of three earning $40,680 or below.
The Franklin integrates into Franklin Park and includes a mixture of retail space. It provides a large childcare facility that can provide services for up to 80 children and serves infants up to pre-K.
